After completing his studies, he decided to move to Almaty, Kazakhstan, to work and learn the Russian language. During his stay in Central Asia, he went on a two-month road trip through Southern Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and developed a personal photo project exploring the different landscapes and peoples met on his solo journey. He continues to work on long-term projects using photography and text exploring the changing nature of socioeconomic restructuring and how these developments affect social power relations. Tommaso is a restless traveler, hiker and learner seeking the most authentic humanity and beauty in all their nuances.
