New Journal in Central Asian Studies, Acta Via Serica

Acta Via Serica is an international, multi-disciplinary, open-access journal published in English semi-annually in June and December. The journal is devoted to publishing new research within the arts, humanities, and social sciences concerning the Silk Road region and Central Asia, and accepts submissions throughout the year. Before being published, all manuscripts are carefully evaluated and double-blind peer reviewed by at least two independent, anonymous referees who are experts in their respective fields.

Acta Via Serica seeks to attract quality manuscripts and provide an honorarium of at least W400,000 (US$340) per published article. Each issue the Editorial Board votes to determine the most outstanding article, which is rewarded with a prize of W1,000,000 (US$845). They also provide an honorarium of W100,000 (US$84) to outside referees who participate in the double-blind peer review process and W100,000 (US$84) for authors who publish book reviews with Acta Via Serica.
