To support our mission of increasing high-quality academic and policy knowledge on Central Asia and promoting local scholarship, the Central Asia Program (CAP) at George Washington University invites the submission of articles on the following topics:
– Environmental Issues
– Rise of Conservative Values
– Populism and Protests
– Intergenerational Issues
The Central Asia Program focuses on the wider Central Asian space, which includes the five post-Soviet Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan), Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Xinjiang, and Mongolia, as well as the Volga-Ural region. We welcome papers focused on any of these regions from all disciplines in the social sciences and humanities backgrounds.
Articles that are accepted for publication by the CAP Editorial Board will be professionally edited and formatted per our CAP Paper design and will be published individually on our website as soon as they are ready. We will also republish all papers as part of an e-book such as the following:
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
- Articles should be between 2,000 and 5,000 words, be written in English, and have Chicago-style footnotes
- Papers in Russian will also be considered.
- Papers will be reviewed by the CAP Editorial Board, which will make a decision on publication. If accepted, papers will be fully edited and formatted.
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until August 31. Please send your paper as a Word document to infocap@gwu.edu.
