CERIA Travel Grant
The Central Asia Program is pleased to announce the launching of travel grants for the year 2016 devoted to the study of religion in contemporary Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). These grants are part of the Central-Eurasia Religion in International Affairs (CERIA) initiative, generously funded by the Henry Luce Foundation.
Four topics have been selected for 2016:
- Islamic education
- Islamic media
- Middle-classes and Islam
- Islam and Culture
Each fellow is granted 5,000 dollars. This amount is disbursed in two installments, the first third before the fieldwork and the second two-thirds upon receipt of the final paper.
