The CAP Economic Forum aims to foster interaction between the business community, academia and the policy world. Foreign investors have become key actors in Central Asian economic, social and political landscapes, but their roles are often disparaged or not recognized, and their acquired knowledge of local realities inadequately integrated into policy formation and scholarly analysis.
The Economic Forum aims to fill this gap by:
- Promoting scholarly research of the risks and opportunities for foreign investors in the region (legal environment, good governance issues, political transformations, interaction with society, environmental concerns).
- Shaping the US policy narrative on the need for better convergence of the interest between policy and business communities in the Central Asian region.
- Organizing regular exchanges between academics, policy-makers and business communities.
