Presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan on April 26, 2015. Incumbent president Nursultan Nazarbayev was easily reelected with more than 97 percent of the votes. The majority of the electorate understood that the election was organized to be a confirmation vote for the president.
December 21, 2014, Uzbekistan witnessed the 5th post-Constitutional Parliamentary and City Councils elections and were commended by more than 300 international observers from 50 countries and international organizations such as OSCE/ODIHR, SCO, OIC, Association of World Election bodies (AWEB) and CIS.
